Gold Coast Hinterland Wedding Celebrant
Rainforest, rolling hills and big mountain views. I marry couples all over the hinterland, from Tamborine Mountain to Numinbah Valley, with a ceremony that feels as relaxed as the setting.

- Authorised Marriage Celebrant
- AFCC member
- BOSE PA system included
- Proud LGBTQIA+ ally
- $790, one simple fee
Hinterland weddings I love
Some of my favourite ceremonies have happened up in the hills. There’s something about a timber arbour, a lawn full of your people and the McPherson Range behind you that makes everyone slow down and soak it in.
You’ll often find me at The Bower Estate in Natural Bridge and Kwila Lodge in Mudgeeraba, and I’m happy to marry you on a private property, a winery lawn or a lookout. If it’s on the Gold Coast side of the range, travel is included in my fee.
Tips for a hinterland ceremony
- Have a wet-weather plan. Summer afternoons up the mountain can bring storms out of nowhere, and the mist rolls in fast at Tamborine and Springbrook. Ask your venue where the ceremony moves if it rains.
- Watch the sunset time. The sun drops behind the range earlier than you’d expect, so the golden light goes sooner than on the coast. Your photographer will thank you for a slightly earlier start.
- Allow extra travel time. The roads are winding and phone reception can drop out in the valleys. Give guests clear directions and a little buffer.
- Sound matters outdoors. Open lawns swallow voices. My battery-powered BOSE PA comes to every ceremony, so the back row hears every word without a power point in sight.

We were so happy with our ceremony with Ben. Would highly recommend him!! The lead up to the event was super easy and he made us feel relaxed through the whole process.
Kathryn HayQuestions about Gold Coast Hinterland weddings
Do you charge extra to travel to Tamborine Mountain or Springbrook?
No. Travel anywhere on the Gold Coast, including the hinterland, is included in my $790 fee. Venues further out, like the Scenic Rim, are quoted case by case.
What happens if it rains on our hinterland wedding?
We plan for it early. Most hinterland venues have an undercover option, and I’ll happily move with you. A bit of rain has never stopped a wedding I’ve run.
Can you marry us at a private property?
Yes. Backyards, farms and family properties are all fine. Legally the ceremony can be held almost anywhere, as long as the landowner is happy.
