Your local northern Gold Coast celebrant
I’ve married couples in backyards in Pimpama, Oxenford and Coomera, and at waterside spots around Sanctuary Cove and Hope Island. The northern end of the coast has everything: canals, resort gardens, tropical venues and growing suburbs full of beautiful backyards.
Backyard weddings are brilliant
A backyard wedding is personal, relaxed and often a lot kinder on the budget. Here’s what makes them work:
- No power point needed. My BOSE PA is battery-powered, so we can set up wherever looks best: under the jacaranda, by the pool or at the bottom of the garden.
- Mind the neighbours. A friendly note in the letterbox a week before goes a long way, especially if the party will run late.
- Think about shade and seating. Afternoon sun can be fierce. A marquee or a few shade sails keep guests comfortable.
- Keep it legal and easy. The paperwork is exactly the same wherever you marry. I handle it all, and lodge it the next business day.

Can we legally get married in our backyard?
Yes. In Australia you can marry almost anywhere, including your own home. You just need me, two witnesses over 18 and your paperwork lodged at least one month beforehand.
Do you need power for your sound system?
No. My BOSE PA runs on battery, so it works anywhere in the yard.
Do you charge travel for Coomera or Sanctuary Cove?
No. The whole Gold Coast is included in my $790 fee.
